Statement of Faith

God

We believe in one God, existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory. This triune God created all, sustains all, and governs all. God is omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (all-knowing), and omnipresent (all-present).

The Bible

We believe the sixty-six books of the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired by God. It is complete, in that the cannon is closed. We believe The Bible is without error in the original writings and is the supreme and final authority on every subject.

2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21; Revelation 22:18-19

The Father

We believe in God, the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

Jesus

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son. Jesus was born to the virgin, Mary, and lived on Earth as fully man as well as fully God. He was killed on the cross, as a sacrifice for all mankind. He was buried and raised, defeating of death, three days later. Jesus will return in power and glory to judge the living and the dead and to establish His eternal kingdom.

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is God, active in the world today, convicting the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He indwells every believer at salvation, empowering and equipping them for godly living, effective witness, and service. The Holy Spirit illuminates Scripture, intercedes for us, and unites believers in the body of Christ. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and the exercise of all biblical gifts of the Spirit as reflected through the fruit of that same Spirit.

HumanITY

We believe Man was created in the image and likeness of God to be in perfect relationship with Him. However, because of Adam and Eve’s sin, all of humanity there forward was and is born innately sinful. So, humanity became separated from God.

Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:22–23, 5:10–19; Ephesians 2:1–3, 2:12

SALVATION

We believe that we are incapable of saving ourselves as fallen human beings. No amount of “good deeds” can get anyone to heaven.  BUT God, being a loving God, has provided a way for all men to be saved. It is by grace through faith in His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Eternal life starts upon the moment of acceptance and lasts forever. We believe salvation is through Jesus and Jesus alone.

Isaiah 64:6; John 3:16, 5:24, 6:47; Ephesians 2:8–9 ; John 14:6; Acts 4:12

Sanctification

We believe that after spiritual regeneration through repentance, the Holy Spirit empowers a transformative process over time to refine believers. Selfish fleshly desires are put to death in exchange for heavily desires. The fruit of our salvation is revealed as the grace of Christ’s love transforms us.

The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers who are united by faith in Jesus. The Church exists to glorify God, edify believers, and make disciples of all nations. Local expressions of the Church are vital for worship, fellowship, teaching, and serving together to fulfill the Great Commission. We, as believers, are made one body through the power of the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Ephesians 4:3; 1 Corinthians 1:10; 2 Corinthians 13:11; Galatians 3:28

Worship & Praise

We believe worship is the awed response to the saving acts and praiseworthy character of God. Humanity was created to worship God, the only one worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. We worship in spirit and in truth through music and by submission to God as living sacrifices, denying our flesh daily and following Him in faith.
